A collaborative effort of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Highland Station, Morongo Basin Station and West Valley Detention Center resulted in an extremely successful pet supply drive for 2015.
During the months of September, October and November, citizens, businesses and sheriff’s department employees from Highland, Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree and other communities contributed over 1.5 tons of pet supplies that were distributed to shelters in Joshua Tree and Yucaipa on November 25, 2015.
The Yucaipa Animal Placement Society received 2 truck beds full of donated dry dog food, dry cat food, dog toys, cat toys, litter, dog and cat treats, blankets, towels, and cleaning supplies.
