I've found my furever family!

MINNIE is a female-spayed short hair dark tortoiseshell feline.  She was born about March 2022, rescued as a stray kitten in the rescuer’s backyard.  The owner recently died with the daughter having to care for Minnie, and eventually relinquish her to YAPS late Sept. 2024 because of severe allergy to cats.  Per her prior owner: she is calm, reserved, yet playful; she likes cat toys, scratching posts, being groomed, & likes to be “up high”; she recognizes the words “chicken treat.”  Minnie is stressed/insecure from the recent loss of her home, so she may or may not come to you for affection from her resting place.  If you’re sitting, she may jump up beside you. She likes being petted – often purrs in appreciation, & may “knead biscuits” &/or roll over for stomach rubs.  She likes being held in your lap/arms, but currently not for long periods.  She gets along well with other cats.  A smooth transition into her new home will be facilitated by initially placing Minnie in a “safe room.”
