Why Do Rescues Have Adoption Fees?
Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Yucaipa Animal Placement Society (YAPS) cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the pets.
Adoption Fees
Dogs
- $350.00 - Puppies/Dogs aged between 0 months through 6 months
- $300.00 - Dogs aged 6 months through year 1
- $240.00 - Dogs aged 1 years through year 2
- $240.00 - Dogs aged 2 years through year 7
- $135.00 - Dogs aged 7 years and up
Cats
- $75.00 - Kittens aged between 0 months through 6 months
- $75.00 - Cats aged 6 months through year 1
- $40.00 - Cats aged 1 years through year 2
- $40.00 - Cats aged 2 years through year 7
- $40.00 - Cats aged 7 years and up
Fees for Cats or Dogs with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.
Adoption Inclusions
Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Yucaipa Animal Placement Society (YAPS) cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the dogs. At adoption, Yucaipa Animal Placement Society (YAPS) dogs will be current on their vaccines and will have the following:
Dogs
- Rabies (1 yr. or 3 yr.)
- Distemper (DHLPP or DHLPP-C)
- Bordetella
- Altered - Females Spayed or Males Neutered
- Microchipped
- Flea/Tick Preventative
- Deworming
- Fecal (when relevant)
Cats
- FVRCP
- FELV/FIV Test (when relevant)
- Deworming
- Flea/Tick/Ear Mite treatments
- Altered - Females Spayed or Males Neutered
- Microchipped
