I'm ready for my new family!

ARWEN is a female-spayed short hair brown tabby cat with white lower face, neck, underbody & legs.  She was born & rescued July 2024 as a newborn kitten with her mother.  She was relinquished to YAPS late April 2025 when her rescuer could no longer care for her.  Per her rescuer: she’s calm/reserved, yet playful & likes cat toys; she’s affectionate, & slept on her owner’s bed.   We find her to be gentle, beautiful, social, & loving.  Arwen may be initially shy with strangers.  But once she knows you, (especially if you offer her cat treats), she comes to you for affection.  She likes being petted. She may accept being held in your lap/arms, but not for long periods.  She gets along well with other cats, and likes to play with a feather wand.   When adopted, she'll need to be initially placed in a "Safe Room" to gradually acclimatize to her new home.  She'll let you know when she's comfortable enough to be let out to explore and enjoy her new home
