GIGI is a petite female-spayed short hair grey tabby feline. She was born about October 2020, then adopted as a stray kitten from another shelter. Her owner of nearly four years recently died, and her daughter is unable to keep her due to cat allergy. YAPS accepted Gigi Sept. 17, 2024. Per her prior owner: she likes being loved on her terms (like many other cats); she likes to sleep on you, and really likes having a view out a window. We find her to be pretty, calm/gentle, & VERY affectionate. Although she’s stressed from the recent loss of her home, she usually comes to you for affection from her resting place, especially if she’s beckoned & called by name. If you’re sitting, she may come to you, jump up, and lie beside you for affection. She loves being petted, or having her chin rubbed – usually purrs softly, nuzzles & head-butts you in appreciation, & may roll over for stomach rubs. She likes being held in your lap/arms, but currently not for long periods. She gets along well with other cats.
