We're happy to tell you that Ethel (968) has a new furever home. Please visit our Available cats Page to see the pups currently available.
ETHEL is a female-spayed short hair brown tabby senior feline. She was born late Sept. 2016, rescued as a stray by YAPS, then adopted into a loving home Dec. 2016. Eight years later (Nov. 27, 2024) her owner very reluctantly relinquished Ethel back to YAPS because her husband recently had been disabled, & they could no longer care for her. Per the prior owner: she is outgoing/social and affectionate – likes to lay in her lap & likes to be held; if you’re sitting, she may jump up beside you; she is active, playful, & curious; she likes cat toys and scratching posts, likes getting “up high”, and likes being groomed. We find her to be: pretty and VERY affectionate. Ethel usually comes to you for affection from her resting place. If you’re sitting, she may jump up beside you. She LOVES being petted – purrs loudly in appreciation, & often rolls over for stomach rubs. She likes being held in your lap or arms (but not for long periods) – purrs loudly. She gets along well with other cats.
