I've found my furever family!

Lucy (688)

We're happy to tell you that Lucy (688) has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available cats Page to see the pups currently available.

LUCY is a female-spayed short hair white/brown senior feline.  She was born late Sept. 2016, rescued as a stray (with Ethel) by YAPS, then adopted into a loving home with Ethel Dec. 2016.  Eight years later (Nov. 27, 2024) her owner very reluctantly relinquished Lucy (& Ethel) back to YAPS because her husband recently had been disabled in an accident, & they are no longer able to care for them.  Per the prior owner: she is outgoing/social and affectionate – likes to lay in her lap & likes to be held; if you’re sitting, she may jump up beside you; she is active, playful, & curious; she likes cat toys and scratching posts, likes getting “up high”, and likes being groomed. We find her to be: very affectionate & pretty. She usually comes to you for affection from her resting place. & usually rubs against your legs.  She likes being petted, & likes being held in your lap/arms (but not for long periods). She gets along very well with Ethel, and some (but not all) other cats.  Since she and Ethel have lived together for their entire 8 year lives, it would be ideal (but not mandatory) if they could be adopted together
