I've found my furever family!

MAXIE is a male-neutered long hair orange tabby bobtail feline.  He was born about March 2022, rescued as a stray kitten (with Minnie) in the rescuer’s backyard.  The owner recently died, her daughter was caring for Maxie (and Minnie), but had to relinquish him (and Minnie) to YAPS late Sept. 2024 because of severe allergy to cats. Per the prior owner: he is calm, reserved, yet playful; he likes cat toys, scratching posts, & likes to be “up high”; he recognizes the words “chicken treat.”  He’s very stressed/insecure from the recent loss of his home & arrival at YAPS, so he currently doesn’t come to you for affection from his resting place.  He likes being petted – may softly purr, nuzzle you, &/or “knead biscuits” in appreciation.
