I've found my furever family!

SHADE is a male-neutered medium hair black (with some scattered grey highlights) feline.  He was born about June 2021, adopted by an older lady at an unknown date, then rescued by YAPS (as a bonded pair with Valentine) as an owner surrender late March 2024, when the owner no longer could care for them when she moved to an assisted living facility.  Per the prior owner: Shade slept on the bed with her; he likes to get “up high” on cat trees; although calm & gentle, he’s playful, & loves feather cat toys.  He has a regal appearance, is friendly & affectionate.  He usually comes to you for affection from his resting place & often rubs against your legs.  He loves being petted, accepts being held in your lap for short periods, or being held in your arms for longer periods.  He & Valentine are bonded.  When adopted into a new home, he’ll do best if initially placed in a “safe room” (ideally with Valentine) to minimize the stress of moving to his new home.
